SH500L, 508-dpi Medical Radiography X-ray Laser Imaging Film Imager
Accelerated Throughput, High Resolution & High Maximum Density
SH500L - an environmentally friendly system - accommodates multiple film sizes. It is equipped with two universal film trays which enable printing on two different film sizes at the same time. Combined with the higher speed DLF dry imaging film, SH500L achieves a processing capacity of approximately 80 sheets per hour with 14×17in film to meet the needs of the busiest radiology departments, and with absolutely no compromise on image quality. It will help reduce the patient’s waiting time and greatly increase the efficiency of examination workflow. Offering high resolution of 508 dpi and a maximum density of 4.0, it is ideal for mammography which requires high-definition images.
Image Processing Engine
A semiconductor laser and precision optics are merged to produce a 50-um pixel pitch, resulting in sharp, high-definition films. Powerful image-processing algorithms are utilized to simultaneously optimize both the image smoothness and the text sharpness. Diagnostic clarity is preserved, and patient data are always legible, regardless of the print size. Advanced Variable Response Spline Interpolation automatically detects and distinguishes between image data and alphanumeric characters, ensuring clear, sharp alphanumerics even when noisy images require smooth interpolation of image data. Benefits include easier, faster, and more accurate diagnosis.
Quality Control
SH500L prints a 24-step grayscale pattern to film, and then accurately measures its density. This feedback system allows precise and subtle image adjustments to be made. Several kinds of key test pattern images for the assistance with mammography quality assurance procedures are incorporated into SH500L to meet regulatory requirements. It also has a precision temperature control system that enables stable imaging. To rapidly cool films after image formation, a film temperature history control system that controls both heating and cooling has been adopted. By accurately halting heat development and greatly increasing the cooling speed and time compared with previous equipment, stable quality images can be swiftly obtained even during high throughput printing.
Smooth Curve Arranging and High-quality Images for More Versatility
